Prevention of Sexual
Harassment
This is hereby to re-affirm the presence of POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) at FMS as an independent committee. The same finds its place currently with Faculty Convenor - Dr Kavita Singh, one male student member - Saurab Tyagi (Batch of ‘24) and two female student members - K Sai Namratha and Nehal Hemant Kumar Bohra (Batch of ‘24).
As defined by University of Delhi’s Internal Complaints Committee, sexual harassment includes unwelcome behaviour of direct or indirect nature such as:
- Physical contact and advances
- Requests for sexual favours
- Sexually coloured remarks
- Showing pornography
- Unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal sexual conduct
It is of utmost importance that FMS forms its identity as a safe space for its students of all genders. It is hence everyone’s equal responsibility to be vigilant and ensure that their colleagues are in a physically safe environment with a comfortable space to verbally communicate if any such case comes up.
To file a complaint of similar nature to POSH, fill this form.
We understand the stigma and uneasiness faced while reporting an incident of such kind. Hence, it isn’t mandatory to fill the form. The student may, anonymously or not, reach out to any of the undersigned first.
